DPW Presents: Spring Fest!
Join us at Brookline’s first Spring Fest on Saturday, May 7th at Olmsted Park, Allerton Overlook from 11 AM to 2 PM. The Spring Festival will be a celebration of trees, including a kickoff of the Town’s recently completed Urban Forest Climate Resiliency Master Plan and an Arbor Day planting and proclamation. Learn why trees are a critical tool for building a climate-resilient community, and the exciting work that’s being done by our community partners: Brookline Mothers Out Front, Brookline GreenSpace Alliance, Olmsted 200 and the Brookline Arts Center!
The event will include family-friendly activities such as yard games, crafting stations, a tree-themed scavenger hunt, food and music. Town forestry staff will conduct a live pruning demonstration, and share tree care resources, including information on how residents can apply for a free tree. The event will also include several scheduled activities, outlined below:
11am – Tree ID Walk with Brookline GreenSpace Alliance
12pm – Arbor Day Ceremony
1pm – Pruning Demonstration & Allerton Overlook Spring Planting
We hope to see you there!
