Murstein & Associates - Staff Tax Accountant

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing straight-forward to complex individual income tax returns that include:
• Multi-states
• Unincorporated businesses
• Rental property
• Sales of ISO, ESPP, and restricted stock
• Home office deductions
• Publicly traded partnerships
• Other technical considerations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 0 to 2 years of experience preparing tax returns for individuals
• Past employment at a CPA firm is preferred but not necessary
• Experience with ProSeries and knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred but not necessary
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
• Reliable and timely
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Self-motivated
• Proficient with multi-tasking and comfortable with working towards key deadlines
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess an enthusiastic attitude and follows directions well

Pay: $54,000.00 – $64,000.00 per year
