Gallery 93 Exhibit – The World Around Us

Brookline, Massachusetts, Gallery 93 at the Brookline Senior Center is pleased to present The World Around Us by Brookline artist Linda Okun. The exhibit runs from March 15 – through May 24, 2024. A reception for the artist will be held on Thursday April11th from 1:30-3:00 pm with an artists’ talk held at 2:00 pm. Gallery 93, located at 93 Winchester Street, Brookline, MA, is open from 8:30-5:00, Monday through Friday. A Brookline resident, Linda Okun moved here from suburban New York to attend graduate school at Harvard. A career in academia first at Northeastern University and then at MIT followed along with raising a family. Okun put down her paint brushes for many years. She states: “Art, be it drawing, watercolor, or acrylics, had always taken a back seat in my life”. The last 3+ years starting with the Pandemic offered her the opportunity to begin an exploration of translucent watercolor techniques via online study and reconnect with her earlier interest in visual art. ArtsBrookline gave Okun her first opportunity to share her artwork with the local community.
