Buchbinder Writing
I decided to become a full-time writing tutor and coach during my tenure as an award-winning publications director and editor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After publishing countless articles about the life-changing impact of excellent educators, I felt compelled to shift directions and devote my writing and editing skills to making a difference in people’s lives. After teaching writing in a private high school, I became a writing professor. For more than a decade, now, I have been working as a writing tutor and a coach–the most rewarding work of my career! I have a deep sensitivity to the different ways that people think and understand what’s needed to help them express their most interesting thoughts and ideas clearly. Over and over again my nurturing, one-on-one relationships with clients has emboldened struggling writers to grow into good writers, and good writers to advance into excellence.
I work with three types of clients:
1) students (grade 8-graduate school, including adults returning to school after a hiatus);
2) professionals seeking to improve their writing for publication; and
3) professionals seeking a writer/edit to craft publishable work for their careers.
My tutoring and coaching services include providing detailed feedback, individualized action steps, and personalized checklists that reinforce new organizational strategies, revision protocols, and grammar instruction.
In addition to being a successful writing tutor and coach, I am a published author who has written extensively for many clients including Harvard, MIT, Scholastic, several world-class hospitals, and many professionals in the fields of academia, medicine, and business.
I help people use writing to open the doors they want to walk through. This is a perfect moment to write your future!
