At Brookline Music School, we believe a good student-teacher relationship is essential to a positive and productive music learning experience. Innovative teaching combined with individual attention and a sense of fun are hallmarks of our contemporary and classical music programs for all ages. Our focus on building a strong musical community makes our school unique: inside the school, we create opportunities to interact and perform with others to enhance our learning community, and outside the school, we offer concerts and special events to benefit the public community.
When you enroll at BMS, you join a friendly environment of everyday learning and creativity. During the pandemic, this creative spirit was highlighted — our faculty quickly mastered teaching online, found silver linings in this new experience, and accentuated the motivational, skill-building, and health benefits of sustaining music education and enjoyment. Our teachers added creativity to all online music education interactions to keep our students engaged, even setting up a concert drive-in at a parking lot! They nurtured the soul and engaged musical minds, in small and large ways, all while keeping our students connected and safe. As we celebrate the return to in-person music this summer and fall, these BMS teachers who genuinely care about their students, will help you grow your love of music. We encourage beginners and advanced students, newborns to adults, to join us!
Brookline Music School is a private, nonprofit community school for the arts, founded in 1924. We continue to grow our learning community by combining innovation and a well-established tradition of teaching excellence. Our exceptional faculty members teach beginners and advanced students of all ages from Brookline and beyond.
