Brookline Symphony Orchestra
Created in the 1950’s, the Brookline Symphony Orchestra, thrived for many years, but went on hiatus in 2001. In 2010, a group of friends dedicated to bringing classical music to the community revived the organization to make it an integral part of the Brookline community and beyond. We seek to present concerts of the highest quality. Our orchestra members are talented musicians — amateur, student, and professional — who volunteer their time to create an organization of which Brookline can be proud.
We are actively working to ensure that the Brookline Symphony Orchestra becomes a vital part of Brookline's cultural life -- a community orchestra in the truest sense of the word. In addition to our traditional concerts each season, we plan a number of free outreach events annually, including free full orchestra concerts at assisted living facilities and hospitals.
We are honored to give Brookline an orchestra to be proud of, for both its musical achievements and its community involvement.
