Coolidge Yoga
Tatyana is a mama to two boys who lives in Chestnut Hill now, after coming from the Ukraine over 30 years ago. She founded and runs a local yoga studio and teaches yoga and meditation classes.
As a doctor of immunology with a scientific research background with pharmaceuticals, she thought she wanted to help people by making medicine.
However, through her own journey of becoming a parent, she realized she would rather focus on preventative mindfulness practices like yoga and meditation to stay healthy in body and mind. As she personally experienced the benefits of these practices, she saw just how well they could work for others and wanted to open a local space where everyone could benefit from these rich practices.
Coolidge Yoga aims to provide a supportive space where both local and remote communities can practice yoga. We welcome people of all ages, abilities, and walks of life. Our selection of classes provides options for everyone, beginner or seasoned yogi, looking for a physical challenge or looking to relax and slow down.
Through the physical practice of yoga, individuals are granted the opportunity to slow down the mind by challenging the body. Combined with a focus on pranayama (breathwork), the asanas (postures) offer us an avenue to experience being fully present in the moment. It is our hope that each student leaves with a clear mind, an invigorated body, and an overall sense of well-being. It is our core belief that by practicing yoga and taking the time to nourish ourselves inside and out, we will lead healthier, happier lives. When we are nourished, we are better versions of ourselves for our family, friends, and neighbors, thus creating a happy and healthy community that is ready and willing to make changes for the better.
