La Morra is the name of the town in the Piedmont region of Italy where Josh began his training – making fresh pasta, pressing wine and hunting for truffles – at a fine restaurant called La Belvedere overlooking the Barolo vineyards. While Josh worked at Belvedere, Jen babysat for a well-known family, The Abonnas who own Marchesi di Barolo, the most historical winery in Barolo. Josh and Jen lived in La Morra for 6 months after they were married. La Morra is adjacent to the small city of Alba and is South of Turin and Southwest of Milan. It is a very small city, but is bustling in the fall with the Truffle Festival. La Morra is well known for its production of Nebbiolo, which is the grape of the famous Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
